Played with this new tool a bit and while its a interesting new way to play with cameras, seems like they deviated from their own standard functionality (which would have enabled it to be really useful):
It creates a single "Camera" element in the Collaboration menu. I think it would have been much better if each camera key were assigned its own collaboration object node, and then would have associated properties in the properties menu. I will probably file an enhancement request, these are the issues I have with it: - No way to move the camera while you are in its position (lock my view to the camera and then be able to move so I get real time WSIWYG feedback). - Need to be able to manually edit the cameras postion/orientation by keying in values. - Render mode should be included as a property of that camera (or a separate method of animating with render mode) - Placing camera points does not work with ALT (to pick up center point or to place two points on top of each other so the camera does not 'wiggle') - Smooth the curve if desired (if I add a new keyframe the motion is 'jagged'.) Probably just give a slider which controls the amount of smoothing 0 = none 256 = smooth) - Copy/paste a camera from one open file to another. (I want to export and reuse a camera, but not all the other scenario stuff) - 'Acceleration/Deceleration' on the interpolation would be very useful so the movement started slow and increased in speed. - Special effects like perspective, depth of field, exposure, or even focus would be nice at some point in the future. Anything else from you guys before I submit an enhancement request?
